January 2023 App Update - Strengths, Weaknesses, and Upcoming Roadmap
It's 2023 which means it's time for a short blog post on what's new in the latest SoccerPulse update (4.1.6) on iOS and what's new in the Android version (3.6.1). We'll also take a look at the roadmap for 2023 and what you can expect in the next few months. Let's get right into it!
The biggest changes for iOS come in the Player Development section. We've added a brand new user interface for attributes that were added with the most recent evaluation.
Now, when you click on a main category (Attacking, Defending, Mental, Technical, or Physical), you'll see a breakdown of each attribute that contributes to that overall rating. Tapping on an attribute will reveal a pop up which details what the attribute means, how important it is to the position that the player currently plays, and any comments that the coach added.
In addition to making the UI more understandable from both a coach and player perspective, we've now included FULLY CUSTOM strengths and weaknesses that can be added to each evaluation. You can choose the type of icon associated with the strength (30+ to choose from), enter a description for it, and even choose the priority for the player (high, medium, low, or no priority).
There is no limit to the number of strengths and weaknesses that you can add and they do not impact the overall rating of the player.
This is the biggest change to the iOS version in January and we hope you enjoy using it! As always, players can also enter self evaluations which can include their own perception of their strengths and weaknesses.
On Android, most of the work has been done under the hood. We've significantly improved loading times for Events, Wellness Reports, Training Load, and Player Performance. We have plans to significantly update the loading times for the Leaderboard in the next version, as well as fixes that should improve the overall stability of the app.
On both versions, we've now included Past Teams, which is a feature inside the player profile and saves the team information for any SoccerPulse team that a player has been removed from, including the league that they played in.
In the coming months, we have plans to add Goal Setting for both Teams and Individuals, as well as a Notifications / Newsfeed section where players can comment and like achievements or items added by their teammates. We'll be releasing the roadmap for Q2 in February, but Q1's roadmap can be seen below.
We hope this update will be beneficial for helping your player's achieve their goals in 2023 and beyond! Keep your eyes in this space for what we have planned for the rest of 2023.
